United Nations 60th Anniversary KidCast for Peace Portal

INVITATION: United Nations 60th Anniversary KidCast for Peace Portal 2005 - features KidCast for Peace Digital (or not) Storytelling Adventure, Video Conference and forum on the art of change!

On June 25, 2005, KidCast for Peace; Solutions for a Better World will
facilitate the gathering and expression of young people and their
SOLUTIONS for making this a happier, healthier, safer, more peace
filled world. KidCast for Peace facilitates the expression of people
encouraged to tell the “adults” what to do for a change! A live
multi-node video conference will connect assembled kids in multiple
countries, who will show and discuss creative SOLUTIONS they have made
for birthing a happier, healthier, safer and more peace filled world.
This audio-video and text conferencing opportunity connecting schools,
homes and cyber cafes around the world, helps young people create the
world they will inherit.

KCFP asks children to make art suggesting how to bring more peace love
and happiness into the world?  The idea is to facilitate connection of
kids (of all ages with focus on K12) in classrooms, hospital rooms
and/or homes to share ideas and images.  Our desire is to inspire young
people and to instigate the production of positive media to offset
violent and fear filled programming.  Please contact us to host a
gathering in your school, club or home.

Through creating this “Peace Portal,” KCFP facilitates peer to peer
interaction that transcends borderlines, color lines and cultural
separation. Our focus is on K12 children.  KidCast connects all kids at
heart to appreciate the children for their peace filled contributions.
Parents and teacher as asked to help students learn about cooperation,
creative self-expression, ecological sanity and conflict resolution as
a preface to making the KidCast for Peace art offering SOLUTIONS.
Details can be found in KidCast Central: http://creativity.net/KidCast/
. Participants are getting ready. Can you join us?

We ask that creative and multimedia “Solutions” for making Earth and
its peoples happier, healthier and more peace filled be posted on the
Web in preparation before April 22.  Can YOU PICTURE PEACE? What does
“love” look like?  We invite you to make PEACE art, put it on a KCFP
web site on your server.  Then send the URL to
kidcast15@creativity.net, and participate by showing up in the Ivisit
video conference. Everyone is invited to share their art, creative
ideas and Earth Day performances.

Please pass this on to someone you know and consider hosting a video
node with some gathered children from where you are?! This positive
media teleactivity is made possible through the resources of Visionary
Artists Resources Including Other Unique Services (V.A.R.I.O.U.S.
Media, 501c3) and its sponsors. KCFP is supported solely by donations,
sponsorship and volunteer efforts. Please be generous and help sustain
KidCast for Peace with a donation.  Detailed information can be found
in Creativity Cafe’s KidCast Central: http://creativity.net/KidCast/,
by writing kidcast15@creativity.net, or by visiting
http://creativity.net/KidCast/donate.html.  We need your help to make
things better. Please pass this on.  If you do want to participate, we
realize its short notice so here is how to find us in cyberspace:

PS: Normally the KCFP iVisit network does not form until just before
the event. We would like to test with you way before if possible?
Please let me know.  Before that, people are getting information,
making art, and debugging their audio and video so the technology is
transparent on the day of our event. You can keep the pulse of our
activities by joining our KIDCAST FOR PEACE MAILING LIST:
